With user-centered approach, the goals was creating an Community Hub bringing together citizens of the neighbourhood and Vulnerable Users of Centro Sammartini.

Challenge

The district of Centro Sammartini in Milan is often perceived as unsafe and unwelcoming by many citizens. However, it serves as a crucial support hub for immigrants and homeless individuals. Our project aimed to transform the community's perception of this area, encouraging more citizens to engage with it positively.

Results

In this initiative, we proposed establishing a community hub, fostering a gradual integration of residents and vulnerable groups. The initial phase involves allowing vulnerable individuals to share their stories, encouraging citizens to listen and understand. Subsequent stages aim to increase their involvement with the center, leading to collaborative workshops where diverse groups can come together, share experiences, and learn from one another.
